@elchicho25 that's not entirely true. There's an episode where Mr. Edward daughter caught the small pox. Not once did Charles think about going to get Dr. Baker who was in another town dealing with their illnesses. That is until Charles thought Laura had came down with what Mr. Edwards daughter had. Then he off and ran to try and get Dr. Baker.

Amelia is not a bad little girl. She just didn't like people teasing her father, but went about it wrong and held it against him for his weight problem. I think they both had to learn something, as Amelia should've loved her father for who he is, and she did, but went about it all wrong. Then her father went about it wrong too to think that he wasn't needed by anybody.
