crappy musicians and crappy bands today need to here this. maybe it'll get them to stop playing like crap and make some good music. i listen to this all the time and it encourages me to push myself to be a better drummer, a better musician.

Buddy created the Heavens and Earth! That's right! Superhuman he was, Buddy CREATED GOD! I'll bet He could even kick Chuck Norris' ass!

You heard Him: He played with the greatest musicians IN THE WORLD! A first!
Mozart, Robert Johnson, Bob Dylan, Bill Monroe, Bird, Copland ALL paled in Buddy's OMNIPOTENT shadow!

Buddy was the SUPREME CELESTIAL MAESTRO; worshiped by all the Universe.

However, I find it strange with all that, He couldn't possess decent life skills. What a fucking asshole!

This is old school, plan and simple. Buddy took the show
seriously. I don't get that he took himself anymore seriously than he took the show he was doing. It's no different with a coach and a big playoff game. If a guy cant handle this he cares more about his ego than the music. He's saying "Come on, man. Get it together!" . That's all. He wanted the best and he was willing to let his band know it! That was his way, so be it.

Buddy Rich is the best of all time. He played perfect and expected his band mates to do the same. Its a shame for them but thats just the way he was lol

Classic joke among Buddy Rich sidemen -
Question: What's the difference between a bull and the Buddy Rich Band?
Answer: With a bull, you have the horns up front and the asshole in the back.

OK. Ive read 100s of posts about Buddy. And this is the first time Ive heard anything about coke. Does anyone care to elaborate? Substantiate? Personally, I dont believe it. I doubt that you could play drums like that while doing coke. Not without having a heart attack!

BTW coke & blow are the same thing.

It's not true . . . Buddy smoked some pot once in a while, and was basically a non-drinker.
Buddy did not use, nor did he tolerate, hard drugs on his band ~
