At least four Republican senators voted for the tax increase (without whom it would not have passed): Birkholz, George, Jelinek, and Van Woerkom. Two GOP reps voted for it: Gaffney and Ward.
I can't find anywhere that Granholm ever promised not to raise taxes during any of her SOS addresses; please quote the reference you're referring to.

1) The tax increases were bi-partisan and required the approval of the REPUBLICAN-controlled Senate.
2) When did Granholm ever promise to never again raise taxes? All of the "rightmichigan" videos that allege this claim ignore the context/nuance of her comments (one even abruptly cuts off her response to a question about the SBT)
