Javier Hagen. Born in Barcelona (Spain). Music studies in Ferrara, Zürich and Karlsruhe (Roland Hermann, singing; Wolfgang Rihm, composition; Heiner Goebbels, composition). Private studies with Nicolai Gedda (singing). More than 100 world premieres all over Europe. Awards in 2001, 2004 and 2008 in Basel, Lausanne and Düsseldorf. His worklist includes especially vocal music, electronic and scenical music. Hagen´s choral works are performed worldwide. Director of the AlpenChorFestival and the contemporary culture festival forum : : wallis.
