CHSPJ English Drama Team performing in National Level English Language Drama Competition 2009 [1]

This video is the first part of the three-part, 20-minute-in-total-length video about SMJK Katholik Petaling Jaya English Drama Team for Year 2009 performing the revised version of "The Tragic HIstory of Dr. Faustus" in the National Level English Language Drama Competition for Secondary School 2009 held in Dewan Millenium, Kepala Batas, Pulau Pinang on 21-10-2009.

This video is the beginning and part of the exposition of the play, opening with the narration about the man's freedom to choose between good and evil, followed by Dr. Faustus's soliloquy, showing off his knowledge and intelligence, before summoning the devil, Mephistopheles. The devil offers a deal to Faustus, to trade his soul for "7 Greatest Gifts of Life". The Good Angel interrupted the deal, advising Faustus not to trade his soul. Faustus eventually chose "Fun and Pleasure" and brushes off Good Angel. Then, he confirms the deal by trading 24 years of "fun and pleasure" with his soul. After that, Mephistopheles introduces the first two "Gifts"-Gluttony and Sloth. The video ends with Gluttony and Sloth introducing themselves.
