  • If you used multiple magnets, placed equally around levitating magnet; do you think it would be possible to magnetically stabilize & hold your core magnet?

  • @mostlymichaelcanada Nope you could not stabilize it that way. It could be stabilized with something diamagnetic.

  • if u stop moving the upper magnet will it levitate indefinitely

  • No it will not. It will either fly up or drop down.

  • Haha! I so agree with homieman97. EVERY science video on YouTube, some idiot has to call it fake or say it's not possible or criticize it in some way. Try to have an open mind people.

It's the dreamers that attempt to build up the world...while the the cynics try to tear everything down brick by brick. Generally these are the ones who are merely terrified of change & the unknown.

  • Come on Luke, you can do it...

  • Excuse if I read comments too quickly - but is the process explained anywhere?

For ex. how did someone know it was on an aluminum BLOCK, and not an upside down baking dish?

Why is the key to this hidden - presumably a magnet somewhere else?

I know you can't levitate one magnet with another - the point between not lifting and lifting is so tiny with perhaps inverse square snatching it quickly.

BUT induced eddy currents (requires movement) in the AL perhaps? Thanks!

  • thats alot of beer cans you must have melted down to get that house-brick sized aluminum block

  • @HEROofANGELES i know right? someone brought up the idea of making a levitating bed and i wanna see if that's possible.

  • Taco?

  • why doesn't it flip and stick to the top magnet?

  • @marshmallower sorta gives a whole new meaning of it eh?
