This is called the Hiller VZ-1 Pawnee, it was a flying platform developed by the Office of Naval Research during the 1950s.

The Hiller Platforms were named after Dr. Paul Hill.

Read Dr. Paul Hill's book "Unconventional Flying Objects", if you want to learn about NASA and the ONR studying UFOs and trying to reverse engineer the propulsion systems.

that would use up waaaaaaaaay too much energy just to hover! let alone be propelled forward....the easiest way to make a flying car would be to make a magnet to repel itself from the earths gravitational pull but not too much and like in some trains, using magnets to propel itself forward! ( i would do it but im 13 and it would cost billions to undergo such a revolutionary project....) doesn't need fuel and no rush hour traffic problems! :D

it acutally looks like anti-gravity device but when you get a better look at it its just a big turbine in the middle if he was to fall

he would get chopped up into little peices

its very dangerous cuz

all the wind goes from TOP to bottom so it will pull him in if he makes it spin faster.
