Quite the contrary; the main reason many people don't believe your fairy-tale is precisely BECAUSE they know the dynamics of it. They realize the theological side, and they realize the scientific side. They realize the true nature of Temporal Lobe hallucinations and their effect on a mind living in an overtly-religious society.
