This is an awesome movie, and I highly recommend it. I put together this trailer as a project for my Digital Editing class. The music is from "The Power of One," which is also an awesome movie that I highly recommend.

"The Ghost and the Darkness" is set in the 1890s. It is based on Lieutenant Colonel John Henry Patterson's account of the man-eating lions that attacked workers building a railway across the river Tsavo. The film was released in 1996.

  • Anyone know the song that starts at 1:14??

  • It's an excerpt from "Mother Africa (Reprise)" from the official soundtrack to the film "The Power of One."

  • @MrJackbrown786 yea look it up. tsavo man eaters

  • @acousticLU Wait a minute you're saying that were a few lions who were actually like this-killing people for fun like sport???

  • this was one of the most unique movies ive seen. it being a true story makes it that much better

  • Well done. My only disappointment was the inclusion, especially a right out verbal statement, that there were two of them. That discovery is one of the climax points of the movie. Giving it away in the trailer eliminates that surprise peak discovery experience.

  • @favellfilms that didnt make sense

  • I,M not scared of A lil pussy cat

  • man when I first saw this movie it scared the crap out of me.

  • But The Ghost and The Darkness were MANELESS!!! In this film they are not maneless. Anyway,,, great GREAT movie and terrible true story.

  • I just purchased the movie online and I can't wait to see it. We were at the Field Museum in Chicago last week and saw these lions. It's all new to me because I had never heard about this story. Sounds fascinating..

  • we just read the story about these lions in one of my college classes...pretty scary shit!
