Mech Commander Gold Showcase: Operation 2 Mission 3, Part 2 of 2

The second part of this mission video shows the team approaching the bridge that leads to the intercept point with the convoy. Note that I approach the bridge carefully, taking out the Bulldog with long-range fire; only a careless or sloppy Mech Commander takes on the Heavy Autocannon-toting Bulldog tank at close range.

Despite hustling most of the way here, the pauses to destroy everything in Bakersville has cost me much valuable time; the convoy approaches just as I reach the small base at the bottom right corner of the map, my next objective before actually tackling the convoy. I lure out the Raven-Js' guarding the base, but get caught between them and the Aerospace Spotter leading the convoy. Hunter is forced to eject from his crippled Cougar-W when he can't quite clear the blast radius from the airstrike.

Despite this setback, though, the team destroys the convoy and its guards, taking care not to engage the Hunchback IIcs' at point-blank range. The Bulldog, with its single Heavy Autocannon is bad enough; the Hunchback IIc-Ws, with their twin Clan Heavy Ultra Autocannons, are extremely lethal at short range.

At the end of the mission, Falcon and Hawk have gained so much from their training that they are now Veterans! I also take away both Cougar-Js', and one of the Raven-Js', as prizes.
