Bamboo Sk8 - Helping the planet: one hard-wearing skateboard at a time

I wanted to make a video that recognised the fantastic work that Bamboo Sk8 is doing to stop skateboarding from destroying the North American and Canadian maple forests.

Many people might not be aware that bamboo is not only a better ecological alterantive to maple, but bamboo decks are considerably more durable, and they ride better too, once you get used to that extra pop!

It's unlikely that any other bamboo manufacturer has invested as much time or money into the technology as Bamboo Sk8, so I decided to make a short documentary explaining why you should give their decks a try.

I put on my proper speaking voice, and I've done my best, but I can't help some of the stuttering - sorry. It's my first try at a documentary, so please be kind.

@snowsk8er4life360 I waxed up 5 boards sunday, but it was too late to get out by the time I was done. Monday the snow was too slushy and it was freezing fog.

@FrenzelArts Yeah - I always think it's funny if I see a skater having a tantrum and they end up getting hurt. 8p In this case, it wasn't a tantrum - they guy was deliberately trying to snap the deck to prove just how strong bamboo is.

@kungfusnoopy1 Well, I don't ride the nose much, and I kinda glued the slab back in with epoxy. I'll check out your guy if it doesn't hold, but my bamboo sk8 deck is a bit wider and I'm kind of looking forwards to trying it out!
