  • Obviously the other high-calibre film designers must be accquainted w/period detail and such, but there's something to be said of Colleen Atwood's attention to detail. I agree with another poster who chose "Lemony" ahead of Sandy Powell's work in "The Aviator". Powell should have been nominated for "Far From Heaven" in 2003. Though Atwood deserved her "Chicago" win. Powell's use of color has always interested me greatly. Look at "Heaven", "Orlando" & "Shakespeare in Love". Prime illustrations.

  • 1. Lemony Snicket (Just because of the detailing)

    2. Aviator

    3. Troy

    4. Finding Neverland

    5. Ray

  • I still can't believe Alexandra Byrne didn't get a nomination for Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera.

  • 1- Finding Neverland

    2- Lemony Snicket

    3- The Aviator

    4- Troy

    5- Ray

  • 1.The aviator
