Dutch Indo-rock impacted Singapore Pop Music in the early 1960's.
ANNEKE GRONLOH - "Oh Malaysia" (1963).
When the new Federation of Malaysia was formed in 1963 out of Malaya, Singapore, Sarawak and Sabah, it was records like this that were much more effective than the many governmental promotions to build up the new national spirit and pride in the new country among the young schoolchildren.
ANNEKE GRONLOH is still revered today as the first legend in the history of Singapore Pop Music.
She would surely be inducted into the Singapore 60's Pop Music Hall Of Fame.
