This makes me miss the baby raccoon I found last summer. He lives with his sister now after being rehabilitated and released through a wild life rescue. Little Oscar, he was adorable.

i heard a guy got arrested for keeping a racoon as a pet. He rescued it from drowning and adopted it..the reason they arressted him cause he didnt have a permit for a "exotic" animal...even though its native..

@happybuddyperson Actually, what I meant by "feed(ing) them some lead or buckshot" was shooting them in the head. I don't believe in poisoning pests for the reasons you cited.

they are so cute. i wish i could feed a raccoon. all the ones here are city raccoons and they don't like to get close to people

@threeby8887 But there is a poisoned animal, which will rot, or get eaten by vultures, poison whatever eats it, and pollute the ground it's on. Nice thoughts. Kill an innocent animal... and if they were to do the same, you would not be happy.

Or just feed them some lead or buckshot. Then there's no mess.
