"Generations of Hunger" by Amy Lawday Productions for the Food Bank For New York City. This film was narrated by Stanley Tucci and made possible through the generous support of Crocs Inc.
3:28 ..... that's why 'Share the Harvest' organization is so important. My mom used to always have a garden, and it never ceased to amaze what a small, nurtured plot of land can produce. I have been blessed in all my years to never go hungry. We were always giving things away. Non perishables are important, but the fresh stuff is what's going to help the immune systems and keep people healthier. Kudos FoodBank4NYC.
My mother was a single mother of 4. Her husband (my wonderful father) chose not to stick with his marriage and had an affair, as most men do. He left my mother and my siblings to fend for ourselves. In the 70's and 80's there weren't food pantries like we see now. So we were raised eating surplus food distributed by the government. Talk what you know. Making sweeping generalizations not only makes you sound ignorant, but it makes you look like an uneducated fool.
Everyone keeps having so many children. It becomes selfishness. They bring more children in the world for us to pay for through taxes, etc. Or when the population gets to big. It becomes harder to support through resources. So to my knowledge I think the human race will die out due to this very issue. That or something closely related to violence.
