@420Guitar420 Trial Kennedy are pretty cool too. just mentioning bands similar to what you listed. haha i love this aussie band called Something For Kate. they're pretty unique/ strange in some ways but could check em out. Aussie music can be pretty hard to track down in the states though i hear. especially some of the lesser known bands

@420Guitar420 also, i dunno what ever happened to them, but Rook were awesome as. Jerrico gets mentioned alot, they're pretty good. you mentioned mammal, they're now defunct but were sick as, but if you check out over-reactor it's the same singer zeke ox. Engine Three Seven's fb page only has one song, but i'm really keen to hear anything new they do :)

@420Guitar420 there is a nz/london band called I Am Giant that features kim from DLC in one of their songs, they're awesome. Sleep Parade are one hell of an amazing aussie band, also produced by Forrester Savell who did a later butterfly effect album, and all of cog and karnivool. From the ashes are a really sick prog rock/jazz rock band also produced by forrester savell. upcoming band law of attraction is defs worth checkin out too :) drummer from Cog now has a band called FLOATING ME.

Why L.A? Doesnt Australia have desert.Whoopy..Knight Rider.Im sure the Americans wouldve got a kick out of an Australian made classic car driving in the desert.Australia,dont sell yourselves short.People love it.

Dont worry most of us aussie feel the same way about the sick puppies, i fucking love Welcome to the real world. And what sucks about birds of tokyo is it's the same lead singer as Karnivool. The only thing your missing out on is, seeing them live. Aussie bands DO NOT survive in australia if they suck live. Can anyone recommend some other Aussie bands to listen to. There's a lot of good Aussie rock that I've found I'd rather listen to than the crap on American radio right now. I am a fan of Cog, Silverchair, Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, A Butterfly Effect, Gyroscope, and Mammal. I don't like Sick Puppies or Birds of Tokyo, they are too poppy for me. Sick Puppies are just fucking awful, once they came to the US they started sounding like everything else on the radio.

Saw these guys live in airlie beach. They fuckin' rocked !! Best aussie band since the farewell of the finger.
