I think it was a rule back then{at least on top of the pops and other early music shows}that almost ALL music artists lip synched their songs.I've seen madonna,culture club etcetc lip synching as well.Probably too complicated to do live.Funny thing is George is an incredible live singer! there are many reasons why someone might lip synch,the worst is if they cant sing,but that usually isnt the case and certainly isnt the case with george michael.

I saw George live in Atlanta in '08. I think that was one of the things that blew me away. Recordings do no justice to this man's voice. I was in awe!
