ROBIN WILLIAMSON

La carrera musical de Robin Williamson siempre ha transitado en el espacio que hay entre lo tradicional y lo espontáneo. En 1965 fundó junto a Mike Heron y Clive Palmer The Incredible String Band, icono del folk-rock psicodélico y citada influencia de músicos de la talla de Bob Dylan, John Lennon o Robert Plant. Multiinstrumentista y apasionado del folclore celta, ya en solitario Williamson inició una carrera donde la experimentación siguió siendo su máxima fundamental. En nuestro EN PARALELO nos acercamos a la figura de este bardo contemporáneo con motivo del concierto que ofreció en el Aulario la Bomba de la Universidad de Cádiz, donde dio un repaso al repertorio de su último disco Just like the river and other songs with guitar.

I have listened to and loved Robin Williamson's music since 1967, when he led the Incredible String Band. If there is a contemporary incarnation of Talieson, Chief of the Bards, Robin Williamson is that one. Check out the video of Robin Williamson in Concert.

im happy to listen to the music without watching the beady eyed burrowing claustrophobic crammed person himself, or hearing him explain stuff, albeit having been asked to do so. mike heron on the other hand seems a man one could listen to, off mike. its just a feeling.
