I sat on couch next to Nick. We had about a foot between us. I can't begin to tell you how nervous I was.
"Hey... uh.." Nick spoke up, and cleared his throat. "Rae, do you want to.. go outside with me?"
My heart litterally stopped beating. I think I just died a little. Uncappable of words, I nodded, and followed him outside onto Amber's front porch.
"So... how are you, Nick?" I asked. Wow, I sounded like an idiot.
"Alot better than I was feeling before." He said and I smiled.
"Why were you upset before?" I asked, as we left the front porch and began walking down the sidewalk.
"There's this girl..." He started to say. I felt a pinch in my chest. Was he talking about me? No, he couldn't be.
"Oh?" I said, and barely any noise came out.
"Yeah, I've been thinking about her alot lately, and I havent really gotten to see her as much as I'd like to." He told me.
"Have you known this girl for a long time?" I asked, trying to get him to spill about the girl.
"Kind of. Not really- well yeah. She's a family friend, but I only talked to her once." He said, turning to face me. His brown eyes looked into mine as he searched my face for an answer. I looked down at the ground as my feet took several steps.
"Maybe you should tell her how much you've been thinking about her." I told him.
"Okay." He inhaled. "I've been thinking alot about you, Rae."
I was taken so offgaurd that my next step was my last before I tripped over my own foot and fell on my knees, scrapping them pretty bad.
"Oh my gosh!" Nick gasped, looking down at me. I moved so I was sitting normall, and I could see my knees. They were really cut up and bleeding. Nick knelt down and looked at them. My eyes followed his every movement until his locked with mine.
"Um... maybe we should get you back to Ambers house." He said slowly. I sighed and broke the stare. I got off the ground. The stinging pain on my knees was really bad, but not as bad as the stinging my tears were causing my eyes. I can't believe I just fell. In front of Nick. Nick fucking Jonas.
We walked up to Amber's porch in silence. I had no idea what to say, because at this point anything I say could make this worse.
"Hey Rae." Nick said, grabbing my arm and pulling me towards him. "I have something I have to say."
"Yeah?" I asked, nervously.
"I have been thinking about you alot, and I think you're really smart, and beautiful, and just all around enchanting. Would you like to... go out with me sometime?"
"Like a date?" I clarified, unsure if all this is possible.
"Yeah." He smiled. "A date."
"I would love to." I laughed in shock.
"Awesome."
He looked at my lips then back at my eyes again. He moved closer to me, and now our faces were inches away. I felt his lips brush mine before actually kissing me. The kiss was short. It wasn't hot and steamy. It was the shortest kiss I ever had, but I didn't mind. I had a pretty good feeling that I'd be getting alot more kisses from him.
