I am soon to join the army, this was my decision. But this song does remind me of wars past and present. Not to long ago i was walking in Tyne Cot cemetery, remembering the men that fought a war to end all wars. Still young men must fight.

i walked down the gravestones of the fallen, playing the bagpipes. playing the war song which i had transposed on to the pipes. The moment was touching for me and those around me. We shall remember them.

I heard this on classic Fm today on the way back from work, again as so many before me thinking is was something new by Einaudi. It's very beautiful, and i love it with all my heart, i wish i could play like this. This would be a lovely tune to share with someone special(one of those moments that feel like it could be apart of a movie because its the moment you will always hole close to you're heart). Thats just what i imagin it to be about, obviously not as its called war song but just me..

My daughter and I heard this on Classic FM several months ago and loved it! When she was looking for music to walk up the aisle to at her wedding, she considered the usual favourites – but none seemed special enough. She then remembered the haunting War Song melody! She got hold of the music, gave it to her music group who created an arrangement for piano and cello. So last Saturday I walked my beautiful daughter up the aisle to this wonderfully evocative music!
