Two thumbs up! I can definitely use this technique to make the body tubes for rocketry. It will save me hundreds!

@SPmQQse Mostly likely because the fibreglass matting isnt very friendly on complex surfaces. If this mold was a semi circle for example, you wouldnt be able to bolt it together and proceed to fill it with cloth and resin.
If you had a dome shaped mold, you would be able to lay it in one go.
They are simply demonstrating the harder process of the two :)

My question would be how to create a wing - the shape is too deep to get into to seam or lay up as one?

what i didnt understand... was why the two haves were layed up seperately , then the mold halves were secured together and then the seam gaps in the two new pieces were overlaid with one strip of cloth.... why not just bolt the mold together.... and.. then lay up the whole piece at once....certainly stronger at the seam
