Before you take it to the range, get a set of feeler guages and verify the bolt gap. If it is below .004" DO NOT FIRE THE WEAPON!!! Century arms built these out of military parts, and made more than a few mistakes. Google CETME and BOLT GAP and follow the instructions

It's not bad news. It's the reason you get these fine weapons for $600 instead of $2000 like M1A or H&K91s.

You just need to do your homework and fix any issues if there are any.

ah so how do the groups hold on the CETME? I read a review saying that the gun can but 5 shells in the same hole from 50 yards. but that might have been bullshit. can ya give me your personal opinion on the gun?

It's as accurate as can be expected from a battle rifle...better in fact. 1.5 MOA with quality ammo...sub MOA accuracy is possible with the CETME/H&K91/PSG1 design. It's just a matter of how much money you want to throw at her.

I used this rifle, while serving in the spanish army back in 1991. The proffesionals used the newer CETME back then, wich turned out not to be as good as this one and later being replaced with the G36. I remember it was a really good and solid rifle, eventhough it was an old rifle, and only used for training non prof. reclutes like me.

I wish i had one! Nice classic rifle to own.
