This film, I thought (and so did the critics), made some pretty brilliant casting choices. I'd like to say that the filmmakers didn't just flip through Marilyn's resume and say, "Hey, let's make a movie about the making of... eenie meenie mynie moh... The Prince and the Showgirl!!" This film is based off of the diary of the REAL Colin Clark, which so happened to involve this movie. Also, I don't think the film made TPatSG look like a great film, if anything it made me want to see it less. :P

Awesome review. I had a feeling this movie would be schmaltzy and boring. You made some great points.

I really wouldn't have watched it if it wasn't for the "Oscar Buzz". Personally, I don't like Williams for the role; I thought they might've went for someone who at least had her body type, not that that is the main focus. But you really make me want to watch it to see how bad it is, based on your review.
