If you are fluent in more than one language you might qualify to join an elite work force. Intpreters and Translators are needed for work business, government, the military, the media, social services, the judicial system, and travel and tourism. Anywhere cultures intersect. Entry level job search and internships

  • Is it possible to switch between translators and interpreters?

  • @RightousJew Your L1 is English? What is your L 2 and do you have an L 3?

  • I'm also considering interpretation as a career but I'm an English major with and emphasis in Linguistics. I understand that i will need additional training to be a board-certified interpreter, but do you think that my major is adequate for employment in this field?

  • The opportunities are there, but preparation is mandatory to become a competent Interpreter! I'm on my way to become one of them! :O)

    Thank you for posting

  • Cool!!!
