Freedom is STILL free.. well, it is rather expensive since ... well, you know... and I am NOT referring to our current leader ... Keep playing, Keep Singing, Keep Dreaming.... :)

People seem to forget what freedom of speech means. It meen being able to speek your mind without being attached or punished for it. Freedom of speacch means nothing if everyone is to afraid to speak becvause of the attacks an reprisals for doing so. And yes boycotting and burnning of records is attacks and punishments.

@SingJiya wow! People like you really amaze me, full of shit and all... these girls are so beautiful and very talented and here you are defending a dickless fuck that rape the country for eight years, where is he now, to afraid to show his face in public... fucking retard, I bet he is glad he finished his daddy's war at the expense of this great nation. Unnecessarily putting brave soldiers in front of bullets but he was too much of a pussy when the flying shoe was thrown at his ass.

Well, uh...no offense to the Dixie Chicks, but, uh...well, nobody sang it like Kermit and Jim.

@bamamamacat . . I don't think anyone is denying the Dixie Chicks have a *right* to say whatever they want. I think the Dixie Chicks wanted to have their say and not have any consequences. Their fans similarly have a right to think, say, and do as they please. Right or wrong, sometimes there are consequences to taking a stand for what you believe. They just need to be big girls and understand that. It's not a Constitution issue. It's a market place issue.
It just doesn't get any better than this! ~~~~~~~

The Constitution provides the same freedom for Natalie Maine's comments as it provides freedom for the various comments herein. As controversial and inappropriate as some may find Ms. Maine's opinions, and as crude and unproductive as I may find some of the comments posted here, and as unwelcome as my comments will probably be to those same individuals, we all live in a country where we are free to speak our minds. To participate in censorship and still lay claim to that freedom is hypocritical
