Hi Nicko, thanks for posting this recipe; I'm Italian and I made some yesterday with my Mum's recipe; we call them FRAPPE as I come from Rome, CROSTOLI (stress on the first O) is the Venetian name. I've never tried to fry ready-for-use shortcrust pastry, we usually made frappe with less butter than normal pastry and we put alcohol like grappa or sweet wine in the dough.

Oh my gosh! I love all of your videos. They make cooking so easy! I'm going to show my boyfriend these things so that way we could make Triforce cookies anytime we want!

My mum makes the original italian ones from scratch and they are to die for
thanks nicko but i dont think its nice with a cup of coffee or tea because when you eat the sugar cookies it takes the sugar of the tea away

I made these last night for dessert! Let me tell you...friggin' fantastic! They are so light! We had them with icecream and whipped cream and everyone loved them! Only got 6 twists left today (I used 2 sheets of puff pastry) Thanks for the easy sweet snack mate!
