Father Son Tour-2009 Levi's Granfondo Santa Rosa

Bill and Liam (9) ride the 65 mile Medio Fondo at Levi Leipheimer's King Ridge Granfondo on October 3rd, 2009. It was a great event with 3500 participants, 600 volunteers, perfect conditions, and some of the best roads in California. Proceeds from the Fondo went to the Forget Me Not Farm and to help keep Santa Rosa as a host city for the Tour of California. The father son team had an awesome day and plan to be back next year!

The kid wasn't even breathing hard up the hill, I have to say it, he climbs like Contador.... What's with his helmet tilt back?

Liam loves his Ironman helmet, but I think we are going to have to start looking into other options.

Thanks Jorge - We used the Canon SD 780 IS. Video is great. Audio not so good on the bike. Liam does have SPD pedals and shoes. Just switched over in August after our return from France.

I think one of my highlights of that day was Liam flying by me on Coleman Valley Road (on the climb). Good little engine in that boy. I actually saw myself in this video just before he passed me.

Such a great day and event. I still grin whenever I think of it.

(I noticed that you guys are in my video too, just before we hit the coast I think, but I haven't edited it together yet. I passed you guys and mentioned I read your blog, but you probably had a lot of people say hello that day)
