I'M TRYING TO UPLOAD A COUPLE OF COMPOST TEA VIDEOS I JUST MADE TO YOUTUBE. WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER WON'T ALLOW ME TO SPLICE TWO VIDEO CLIPS TOGETHER. ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A GOOD VIDEO IN A SINGLE TAKE, AND I'M JUST TALKING INTO THE BACK OF THE CAMERA AS ITS ROLLING AND IT COMES OUT HOW EVER IT DOES, AND I THINK THE TWO SHORT CLIPS SAY A LOT.

I SPRAYED THE ENTIRE 3,200 SQ FT GARDEN WITH A QUART OF DILUTED ALASKA FISH ABOUT 10 DAYS AGO ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP OF 20 FT TALL FRUIT TREE'S AND ITS SPECTACULAR THE LUSHNESS OF THE TREE'S AND PLANTS. AND TODAY I'M DOING AN AMAZING STINKY BATCH OF ALFALFA HORSE FEED PELLETS AND ALASKA FISH AND COFFEE GROUNDS AND AZOMITE WHICH IS A 300 YEAR OLD DEPOSIT OF ROCK DUST FROM UTAH WITH 70 TRACE MINERALS AND MYCORRIZA FUNGI AND HUMIC ACID FROM PEACE OF MIND BY FOX FARM AND OTHER ODDS AND ENDS THAT WILL MAKE A RATHER AMAZING BREW. I'M WANTING TO FIND A NICE LONG SUCTION TUBE FOR THE GARDEN SPRAYER SO I CAN WALK AROUND WITH AT LEAST ONE OR TWO GALLONS OF STRONG TEA, WHICH IS DILUTED A LOT THRU THE GARDEN HOSE, AS A MUCH MILDER TEA AND BLAST IT OUT ON THE ENTIRE GARDEN FOR ANOTHER FOLIAR FEED. MY NEIGHBORS ARE AMAZED AT THE SMELL FOR ABOUT 5 OR 6 HOURS AND OTHERS ARE TOTALLY AMAZED HOW LUSH THE GARDEN IS....!!! DOGS WERE BARKING FOR BLOCKS DOWN WIND OF THIS PROPERTY LAST TIME I SPRAYED THE FISH FROM ALASKA. I DO IT VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING WHEN THE STOMATA ON THE LEAVES ARE OPEN. LATER WHEN IT DRIES OUT THE SMELL IS GONE. ALMOST CAN'T SMELL IT IN THE AFTERNOON, SO I GUESS I'M COOL WITH THE NEIGHBORS :) THIS TIME I PLAN TO DO LESS FISH AND MORE COMPOST TEA FROM OTHER INGREDIENTS. LESS THAN $10.00 FOR THE ENTIRE AIR PUMP AND BUBBLE STONE AND AIR TUBE SET UP FROM WALMART. $9.50 IS WHAT I PAID. AEROBIC BACTERIA AND FUNGI THAT BREATHE AIR IS THE KEY. ANEROBIC OR METHANE TYPE BACTERIA LIVE IN THE ABSENCE OF OXYGEN AND IS VERY HARMFUL TO PLANTS. AERATION IS THE KEY. LOTS OF MOLLASES AND GOOD STUFF IN THE $11.00 BAG OF ALFALFA PELLETS FROM THE LOCAL FEED STORE AND A FANTASTIC SOURCE OF NITROGEN. AZOMITE HAS 70 TRACE MINERALS THAT IS ABOUT EQUAL TO NORWEGIAN KELP, WHICH ACCORDING TO PEACEFUL VALLEY FARM SUPPLY IS THE BEST OF ALL THE KELP PRODUCTS. MYCORRHIZAE AND HUMIC ACID FROM FOX FARM LABS IN ARCATA CALIFORNIA OR HUMBOLT COUNTY. MYCORRHIZAE ACCORDING TO RESEARCH HELPS PLANT ROOTS VIA SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP TO HAVE UP TO 20 TIMES THE EARTH MINERAL CONTACT AND ITS 2O TIMES THE ABILITY OF ROOTS TO FEED THE PLANT OR TREE. PEACEFUL VALLEY HAS THE BEST ORGANIC FARM SUPPLY I'VE EVER SEEN ONLINE OR HARD COPY CATALOG.

Alfalfa Meal: Alfalfa provides many nutritional benefits not only for plant use, but for soil organisms as well. One very important ingredient is tricontanol, a powerful plant growth regulator. Orchid and rose growers make an alfalfa tea and spray it directly on as a foliar fertilizer. Alfalfa is very high in vitamins, plus N-P-K-Ca, Mg, and other valuable minerals. It also includes sugars, starches, proteins, fiber and 16 amino acids. Sprinkle lightly over garden and water, or use about a handful (depending on the size) around each rose, tree, or shrub. Approximate analysis is 3-1-2. Alfalfa meal and hay used for mulch contain vitamin A, folic acid, trace minerals and the growth hormone "tricontanol." Use at 25 pounds per 1,000 square feet or 400-800 pounds per acre. Alfalfa helps plants create larger flowers and increases the tolerance to cold. Make alfalfa tea by soaking 1 cup of alfalfa meal per 5 gallon of water. Good for all flowering plants. Research has shown that using more is not better. At recommended rates alfalfa works wonders on roses but it can be overused causing adverse effects.

Foliar feeding has been used since 1844 when it was discovered that plant nutrients could be leached from leaves by rain. Experiments then proved that nutrients could also enter the plant through the foliage.

High humidity increases a leaf's ability to absorb sprays. Spraying on damp mornings or evenings will increase the effectiveness of the spray. Small openings (stomata) on the leaves close up during the heat of the day so that moisture within the plant is preserved.

  • I NEED TO POST THAT AIR STONES ARE A WASTE OF MONEY, AND THE BACTERIA IN THE TEA WILL CLOG AIR STONES IN 24 HOURS, AND NOTHING WILL CLEAN AN AIR STONE, NOT EVEN BLEACH. AIR IN THE TEA WATER IS ALL THAT IS NEEDED, AND THIS IS A SMALL BATCH OF TEA WITH PLENTY OF OXYGEN.
