That f#$%&@T that ran on the pitch, I still hate hate the prick to this day. If it wasn't for him, they would have made the World Cup, football would have gotten a huge boost in Australia and we would have kept on improving the quality of the Football in Australia. Football & it's history & passion would not have been stolen from us immigrants. Iran, you think this was anglo Australia playing but it was really the immigrants playing you where playing against.

Well, It is football (Soccer). Please do not fight eachother. Nations are supposed to get together becuase of this game. I was 28 that time. I was upset after the Iranian net was torn but we should not judge a nation out of one individual's act. Australians are very cultured and civilized nation and very respectful.

I remember this game I was 16 at the time. This loss has been rated the number 1 sporting tragedy in Australian Sporting history by sports illustrated. Gus Hiddick who coached Australia to a World Cup appearance in 2006 suggested the problem with Australian soccer was it tried to win these games by attempting to score many goals. They needed to take a more conservative approach to the game.
