Raw Video: Wisconsin Rapids Police Officer Shoots Teen Wielding Knife

DASH CAM VIDEO shows Wisconsin Rapids Police Officer shoot teen with Knife who lunged at the officer.

The officer responded to the report of three people attacking a vehicle and one person threatening a man with a knife. In the video taken from Krakow's squad car, Krakow can be heard repeatedly telling the teenager to drop the knife and get to the ground. The 16-year old boy then lunged at the officer and was taken down.

If you listen just before the kid lunged at him, the cop who shot him yelled for another officer to "taze him" but before the other officer could draw it out the kid lunged at the cop and got shot. Totally justified. The kid was well within the 21 foot bubble with a knife and ran up on the cop. I would have done the same thing. If you do not know the Police procedure for the use of force continuum then don't bother posting.

@usmcwifey713 1. im sure if your husbands a marine he would have the balls and sense to physically take the knife from a kid or 2. he could just as easily have been tased and 3. rapids and wood county are ANYthing but lenient.theyre almost as bad as nekoosa and rome, they look for any small thing to rat on people for just to keep busy. not that this is a small thing cuz its not, but the police in these municipalities are not lenient

Justified shooting. For those of you who don't know what a justified shooting is this is a good example. People are trained to use deadly force if their life or someone's life is in danger. Was the officer life in danger when the kid ran at him with the knife? Enough said
