Giant Mekong catfish, you can catch them in fishing lakes in Thailand - I know cos I'm going there in December! Yay! (OK, that's the last time I mention it... ;o)

lol i touched a Arapaima you call 'killer monster fish' they are not scary and monsterous...they are friendly and beautiful.

ya I don't believe that they can know either way fludblud. Unless they drain every bit of water from every lake river and tributary of either, there is no way they could know for sure if the paddle fish is extinct. I myself about 2 years ago caught a 300lbs Sturgeon out of the Red Deer River here in Alberta, and although we knew that they were there in a rarity, not even the authorities had any inclining that they would get that big in this relatively shallow river.

gotta change this vid mate, the chinese paddlefish is confirmed to be extinct. last surviving pair died in captivity this october

it's a playing "salmon" it's blank in the ocean but in the sea / rivers it gets brown... what differences salmon to "salmon trout" is the dots... if the dots are over half the body... its a salmon...

Nice report. Why no sturgeon coverage? Surely they're one of the largest freshwater fish.. That stingray is something else!
they forgot the White Sturgeon. I believe the Washington State record is 20' long & 1800 lbs.

They didn't mention the Columbia River sturgeon. At a maximum size of 1700 lbs., it is larger than many of the fish mentioned.
