Blizzard 2011: A Time-Lapse Video

A time-lapse video of the blizzard from my second floor balcony in Chicago, IL.
Old Sony Digital 8 camcorder DCR-TRV840 set to record 1/2 second every 30 seconds placed on a tripod and rotated 90º.
Playback speed 1750%. Edited in iMovie '09.
Note: the movements of the camera were caused by me walking near the camera, cleaning the window (until about 10 p.m.), changing the setting on the camera from day to night and back to day, changing the tape (when the indicator inaccurately showed 0 min. of tape remaining), but not the storm. The lights that shine on the yardstick and the later-shown ruler were flashlights and not part of the thundersnow part of the storm (which was loud and bright but, apparently, not captured by the time-lapse).

@mychannel112 That was 17 inches against the glass door on the second floor on a balcony with spaces between the floor's wooden slats.

@prosoundcomm Thanks. We had a lot of advance warning of the blizzard. Hopefully, we won't have another one this size for a decade or more.
