Joseph Smith said that he believed in the Bible and that the Mormon faith could be found in it. This is a quick look to see if that claim is true. Pro-Mormon Ministries is a ministry built out of great concern for the members of the LDS church and it hopes only to point to them the truth. And that by the truth they shall be set free! God Bless! Any questions or concerns please feel free to email me at promormonministries@yahoo.com

  • PMM Mormons are Lost,THIS IS NOT IN THE HOLY BIBLE.

This teaches all LDS Mormons that Black skin is a CURSE FROM the Mormon GOD

"...cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing...the Lord God did cause a skin of BLACKNESS to come upon them (Book of Mormon 2 Nephi 5:21)"

"And the skins..were DARK,according to the MARK which was set upon their fathers..which WAS A CURSE upon them...(Book of Mormon,Alma 3:6)"

"and the CURSING which hath come upon their skins...(Book of Mormon,Jacob 3:5)"

  • IIegalPlayer lets help them find the way!

God willing, I think we could help these people!

  • If a man that claimed to be a prophet of God was proven wrong once, I would certainly hesitate. Twice, and I would definitely doubt him and do more research. Three times, I would turn and run the other away. Not just keep accepting and disregarding. That is why I left the Mormon church.

  • @llegalPlayer Quote all you want, m'man, it still does not sway me. McConkie's "Mormon Doctrine" was a good book to study from, but it never was and is not now official LDS doctrine. That's okay, however. Go right ahead and tell everyone your version of how it USED to be in the LDS church, and I'll tell them how it is NOW.

  • @JediLDS Only in your MORmON Doctrine are the Negroes CURSED BLACK!

...Cain...HE BECAME THE FATHER OF AN INFERIOR RACE...MILLIONS OF SOULS HAVE COME INTO THIS WORLD CURSED WITH A BLACK SKIN and have been denied the privilege of Priesthood..."(The Way to Perfection,Joseph Fielding Smith, pages 101-102)

Cain was cursed with a dark skin; he became the father of the negroes, and those spirits who are not worthy to receive the priesthood are born through his lineage..."Mormon Doctrine 1966 page 109.

  • @(cont.) You seem to want to dwell in the past, however, beating LDS over the head with a shovel that doesn't exist anymore. The truth is, God can do as he pleases. LDS have no official doctrine as to why blacks were denied the priesthood at one time. Any "teachings" on the subject are nothing more than speculation and personal opinion. Frankly, I was very elated when the revelation was received in 1976. Water under the bridge. Now. It's only anti-Mormons who insist on bringing up the subject.

  • @llegalPlayer All of which does not sway me in the least. We STILL the problem of you casting broad blanket of "black skin is a curse" over all black skinned people, when such is NOT the case. As I said before, the curse in 2 Nephi 5:21 applies ONLY to the Lamanites. Is the black skin of the Negro people a curse from God? And what if it was? It is no longer. If you recall, the ban on blacks holding the priesthood was lifted over 30 years ago, and they enjoy all the rights of any other LDS member.

  • @JediLDS You MORmONS are a waste of time to talk to!The facts are here for all to see, what you MORmONS BELIEVE THE END!

LDS MORMON APOSTLE MARK E. PETERSON SAID LAMANITES & NEGROES HAVE THE SAME CURSE OF BLACK SKIN "... At least in the cases of the LAMANITES and the NEGROES we have the definite word of the Lord Himself that He placed a DARK SKIN upon them as a CURSE ... (Race Problems--As They Affect the Church, August 27, 1954, address at CES convention at Brigham Young University)

  • @ProMormonMinistries ... ah...it doesn't appear to me like Mormons are the ones needing help.

  • @llegalPlayer ... (sigh)...Come on, Player. you know better. Why be dishonest? The verses you cite do not claim that ALL black skin is a curse. Those verses apply ONLY to the Lamanites in the Book of Mormon. God cursed them because they were a very wicked people who refused to repent. To use those verses as a broad blanket for all people with black skin is very disingenuous of you. You are claiming racism where none exists.

  • @cont... one other point: I've been banned from several anti-Mormon video sites on YouTube. My "crime"? It wasn't because I used profanity, nor because I dissed someone else's beliefs, or broke a TOS rule. I was banned for the simple "crime" of correcting the mis-statements that people make about the LDS church. That's the site owner's choice, of course, but I find it telling--and somewhat amusing--that they feel that insecure about their own claims concerning LDS beliefs and teachings.

  • @ProMormonMinistries ... No disrespect, but the only "way" that IllegalPlayer will help Mormons to find, is the wrong way. I've been conversing with anti-Mormons on a daily basis for years now, and have met only ONE who claimed that he didn't lie about LDS beliefs and doctrine. It's their mindset, you see. They honestly believe that lying is justified if it cons someone into leaving the Mormon church. I ask you: Why should I take the advice of a known liar? Answer me that, if you will, please.
