This was end of March 2009 at the Limoges 'La Bastide' circuit in south-west France. The track is only about 1100m long and you do 2 laps against the clock.
The quickest is about 1 minute, by F3 monoplaces and the things that sound like angry bees, the bike engined PRMs.
A PRM is basically a rollcage on wheels, 320kg and up to 160bhp, on Avon slicks.
There were about 75 cars competing, but as we were low on camera battery we concentrated on the Elise, in which I was 5 seconds quicker than my last year's time, as I was on better tyres. This was the only Lotus there....maybe next year there will be a few more!
