make sure to use a metal coffee can with a snap on lid so the acetone doesnt evaporate. it will last a long time. thats the easiest way and cleanest way to remove tires from rims.

@OffenburgerJungs as long as you have water in there, temperature will be clamped to 100 celsius, which is safe for most plastics.

@tiffanyjames45 boiling does work and is faster and safer ... I dont like the idea of leaving a flamable solvent open to the air overnight ...

soak your wheels in acetone over nite. the glue melts away and doesnt hurt the plastic. i have been doing it for years. boiling does not work.
