A thrown bottle is made into a bottle with flat sides and square corners. A little philosophy about making a living as a potter is included.

  • Neat demonstration! May I also ask where I could get one of those sure form tools? I didn't get a good look at it and wasn't sure on what it really was.

  • That tool can be found at any hardware store. It is a wood working tool, doesn't cost too much either and the blades are replaceable.

  • And also, I am intrigued by the bat on there, does it make the other two move when you move one? Did you make it, or is it something you can get?

  • That is a "Giffin Grip", it is a centering tool for trimming pots. You can look them up on the web. Very useful tool for a potter that trims a lot of pots.
