Oh my gosh! Sooo cute! I just saw these at Lowe's today and I am so excited to install it! Our backyard is the woods, so hopefully we will have some friends in no time! lol I love how they have to open the flap to get the goodies! Adorable! Thanks for sharing! =)
I am planning to buy a squirrel feeder too..its vietal they get alto of food in harsh winters. you leave food for the birds and squirrels eat it..you leave food for the squirrels and the crowns&magpies eat it!! so its best to buy one of these babies make sure the squirrel can get the food only.
The advantage of having one of these squirrel feeders is that birds can't open the hinged roof to get inside. So it would be nearly impossible for a bird to nest in there.

I have bitter experience of this

what about larger wild birds, who naively make their nests in trees, or walls alongside your garden
grey squirell will kill, as their nests are completely open to these predators

if there had been bird eggs or hatched young birds in there it would have eaten and killed them
