If the anime had started in 1996 instead of 2000, the animation would've looked like this for at least the first 80 episodes, because by the time the anime actually debuted, the manga was already almost into the Band of Seven arc, and the characters by then were beginning to look like what we see in the anime. Therefore, those newer models of the characters were applied to the first episodes of the anime and only improved from there. That's why the animation of the anime wasn't like this trailer

@dilliblue13 Yea!!! I read Rinne and it resembles Inuyasha alot! It has the girl=Kagome Rinne would be like Inuyasha and the cat like Shippo! But EVERYBODY liked Inuyasha better!!! XD

@XxXDoggieLoveRamen i know right but am still happy that they finished it but im sad they will not make any more when the final act english comes out cause rumiko is already doing a new show called rinne something and the girl looks exactly like kagome only with pigtails and the guy has red hair i just wish she would make a sequel to the final act instead of doing that new show but you got to move on lol XD!!

it looks like the mangabut in animatiuon but over the couple of years they changed alot of things like kagomes hair and the way they look its still a good job

Daaaaaamn....it looks like Inu Yasha would've done even better as an anime in the 90's. The artwork in this commercial looks alot like Takahashi's work. XD
