An original, low owner Citroen 2CV6 Dolly in red and yellow or affectionately known as 'Plums and Custard'

Headlamp adjustment control knob, Check-button for brake level warning lamp, Hazard warning switch, Ashtray, Windscreen/floor air distribution control, Rear fog lamp, Choke control with warning lamp, Oil pressure warning lamp, Battery charge indicator, Folding rear bench seat, Complete and half opening hood, Interior lamp.
EXTERIOR
This Dyane is finished in an original colour combination unique to the Dolly model. The car has never been painted so wears its marks in a charming un-restored way. A stunning car to look at and still with a shine but is now sporting some non serious light rust spots such as corrosion at the bonnet edge. There are undulations around the front indicator on the drivers side, a few dings and both front mud-flaps are missing a screw. One of the tailgate badges is missing and the roof will need replacing due to a tear. A structurally very sound floor pan with some previous light weld repairs and a very solid original chassis. All Dolly decals are present and correct. The 'Made in France' and 'Important oil change every 10,000km' stickers are still visible on the front screen. The vehicle still has the original supplying Citroen Dealer number plate's front and rear and rear window sticker.
INTERIOR
The interior is in fair condition, with all the switches, gauges and warning lights fully operational. The floor is still protected by the original Citroen rubber over-mats. Various factory stickers still remain such as tyre pressure limits on door edge. The grey seat diamond shape material is as supplied from the factory and so will now need replacing being 24 years old and never hard wearing in the first instance! The seat supports are excellent.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Having been in dry storage for 3 years after having thousands spent on it, (all invoices in the file), this 2CV soon fired into life and passed an MOT. All fluid levels are correct but it would be advisable to carry out a full service prior to serious use. This can be arranged see below. The 2 cylinder 602cc 28bhp engine with a column gear change is like no other car today and is guaranteed to put a big smile on your face!
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Good branded tyres all round, bright chrome hub caps but one is missing. The vehicle stops quickly and in a straight line.
HISTORY FILE
This car has a fascinating history. Purchased for the last keeper, a Mr McPherson as a 50th birthday present from his best 'mates' he then proceeded to spend thousands putting it on the road to then park it up in his barn for three years never to be used! Only 3 former keepers, various invoices and MOT's and even a Main Dealer Purchase Invoice. All the original manuals including the Citroen 2CV6 Owners Manual, the Maintenance Booklet with numerous stamps and the Corrosion Guarantee booklet all still contained in the white Citroen folder. All original keys are present. The spare wheel, jack, starting handle and winter front grille muff are present. A Haynes Workshop Manual will also be included.
The car has 12 months MOT and a HPi certificate will be presented to the new owner. The vehicle has no tax so is sold as spares or repair.
