but you can't see it...one frame with her picture in this scene doesn't look like it is her head in the box...maybe john doe just talked to be shooted...but who knows:)

dude it's obviously her head, that's why morgan freeman's character reacts the way he does, and why he can't tell brad pitt's character that it's not his wife's head.
