Gustav Surf, An Epic day on Mustang Island

"Build it and they'll come", such truth. Gustav built it and they came in loads. Sets were 10 to 12 ,at 15 minutes and over head high on the extreme outside. Barrels were there and several got used, sorry, too far for my camera. The inside wasn't bad either with 4 to 6's. And it was all clean, no churn. The deep driving ground swells were running about 50 feet apart.
We're still not Mavericks, but we looked good on Monday.

they say everything is bigger in texas.... yeah except the balls! i saw some nice sections on those mush burgers to pull turns and you fools just putt along, and the longboarders/funboarders didn't even attempt to walk it!!! it was like watching a bad 60's movie! post another video when you learn to rip that shit

First of all, did you actually 'watch' the vid. There were speed freaks, shredders, youngsters learning their feet, green board 'walked'.

Yes they were big slow, but powerful, sets. But they had very clean faces and glassy floors out front, not the regular churn we usually have down here. Like getting out of a '76 Maverick and into an '08 Escalade.

And there will be a lot more videos, so watch as the youngsters get better, maybe you'll learn not to be a hater.
