@ronosama, Don't pass false comments... Chitral State was never part of Gilgit... In fact, the whole of Ghizer district which is now part of Gilgit was the territory of Chitral State!!

Chitral fort these days is in a very bad state ,it needs urgent Repairs i think that instead of Talking of the past we should concentrate on Preserving the Chitral Fort and the adjoining areas ,
The great Mughal Babur sat in these premises and after some years the fort was built so lets give some credit to Visuel Effects of the movie not the summery of Words ,
CHITRAL FORT should be preserved restored and opened to public like a living museum so more and more People can visit this Esset.

Thats a pleasent surprise maybe your grandfather is shown in the movie which was found in the archives of a private collecor ,
George c scott made a big story out of this minor incident his real purpose was to stop the soviets from coming over via afghanistan which they did anu way in 1979.
I am working to preserve Kalash where your great grand father once Visited any way these are historical facts it was nice of you to write on this Page i have just returned from chitral and i am in holland

Thank you for this. My great-grandfather was one of the who marched from Giglit to relieve Chitral. I still have his medal.

It was the siege of Chitral fort not Chitral itself. Second, there is no sense of playing Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan in the background. Overall fantastic efforts.
