@matthieusarah And Philip was only in his mid-thirties, not the old man portrayed by Schiller and Verdi.
-
Did you know that the marriage between Philippo and Elizabetha was actually a quite happy one and that the queen was quite lucky not to marry Carlo who was totaly insane?
-
Oh, sorry ....I misspelled his name - Furlanetto, of course. Apologies!
-
Wonderful! Others may sing it beautifully, but Furlanetti lives it and conveys such a depth of emotion....and sings beautifully, too.

THIS was the Ferruccio I saw yesterday. I cried again!
-
I am enchanted.

I've read many critical comments about Ferrucio Furlanetto but each time I listen to him I really enjoy his performance (I particularily like his Leporello). Something wrong with my ears?

the best.
Beautiful. It's one of the most moving scenes in opera, and Furlanetto is such a human, tormented Philip.

It is therefore worth living! Furlanetto the most authentic, Fülöp, painful, honest, human! AMAZING! Thank you very much!
