@tcbecht88 I try to avoid ranking cars ... folks should buy whatever fits best. The Insight is less expensive than the Prius and - for those that enjoy more sporty (but not sports car) handling - can be a bit more fun to drive.

Looks like the insight was struggling to reach highway speeds to me, can the insight reach over 100 mph before the engine blows up seem to me that it cant.........and does anyone know the top speed of this car........i want to buy one but need more info on it

@scaremengaviation not only awful to drive but the Backseat is Awful because I couldn't fit in the back seat because the celling is too low and the legroom is too small so the Insight should only be a 2 seater like the original one.

@tcbecht88 If you are considering the Prius because of the better fuel economy, i have read from multiple sources that spending the the extra money on the Prius will not pay off until you reach 360,000, miles but by then on either car you would have already most likely had to replace the battery's, which are cheaper to replace on the insight than the Prius. And the Prius has all electric steering, feels like a video game so how would you know if something is wrong with the front end?

@CruzoBolt I'll say the batteries almost never need replacement, unless it's having a problem which is covered with warranty, 5 years in my country and longer for others. Most first generation Honda Insight (1999) and Toyota Prius (1997) are still using their first battery, incredible :]....!!!!!!
