Hi, I'm Steve Waldren with Paramount RV Center. We are a full collision center, we're a full service center and we have a full service parts store. We're located here in Reno, Nevada. We service Reno, Sparks, Carson, Winnemucca, Elko, all of the Northern Nevada and the California, Sacramento, Grey Eagle area, all around on it.
Just pretty much within about a 250 mile radius is pretty much our work zone where we can service you. What I'm here to discuss today is what's happened to Mr. H's coach. He wanted me to do a video on this to explain and everything that had gone on with this to kind of alert people as to what some of the pitfalls are that can loom out there for you.
What you see in here is a re-repair of a coach. What had happened was, he had damage going down the side of his coach. He brought it in... he's been a long time customer of ours. Brought it in, we took a look at it, wrote him up an estimate for it. His insurance company had given him the recommendation of their repair shop where they would guarantee the repairs and guarantee it for the life as long as he owned his coach.
And get him right in and be a convenience type of a thing for him. So we kind of clued him in on what kind of the pitfalls were that could happen with that, but he elected to go with that because it was his insurance company's recommendation. Once he got it out of that repair shop, he brought it back over to us and asked us what we thought.
We asked him what he thought and we came up with a determination that it would be best that he take it back and give them a list of stuff that was wrong with it, that needed to be taken care of on it. He did that, he brought it back in worse shape than he did in the beginning on it. Now, remember he has a guarantee that came from his insurance company.
So, when he brought it back in here, we took a look at it, figured out that it hadn't been repaired correctly with the proper procedures on it and it's one of the benefits of being factory authorized is, we go right to the factory, figure out how did you repair this, how did you build it, how are we going to repair it, because each one of these coaches is unique to itself.
So it's not one size fits all when it comes to repairing these things. It took him, once we determined that it wasn't repaired correctly, his guarantee took him five months of battling with his insurance company to get them to authorize the re-repair to be able to get this coach taken cared of and get it repaired correctly on it.
So one of the things that's for sure, is that Mr H. will never take his coach back to an insurance company recommended shop for this very reason on it. It's critical that you make that important decision right up front, otherwise you're going to spend months and a lot of aggravation trying to go through to get it repaired correctly. So this is one of the things we specialize in, we help our customers, we try to give you the correct information right up front so you can make the best decision you can.
But in the interim if you get persuaded and you end up going that way and you have a problem with it, this is what we do. We specialize in this kind of re-repair work as well on it. And we're here to help the customer out. So, you know that's, we're not too, how do you say it? We're not too popular with insurance company, but our customer should love us.
Should you find, you or yourself and anybody you know fall prey to this kind practices, we at Paramount here to fix this. Our telephone number is 1-775-329-6691. You can get us on our web page at paramountrv.com and we look forward to servicing you in the future. We do it at our parts store, with our service center or our collision shop.
However we may fit your needs.
