My dog has a sensitive stomach (he's a black lab/great dane X) and we finally have him on a really good food that he keeps down without problems. but now he eats his own poop. its really discusting because his major behavior problem is relentless licking...so its gross, needless to say. I've never heard of meat tenderizer..I'm excited to try it though. :)

does the pineapple actually work, I've got a one year old german shepherd & she's developed the habit, changed the diet a few times already... but, still does it.

also another way i found that worked for a few other dogs besides mine was pineapple and the juice before you feed them dog food feed that to them something in the smell makes them not like it just like he said in the video is the smell and the taste

my dog literally waits at our other dog's butt mid poop to eat it while it's fresh. so terrible. I have given up hope.

Another reason dogs eat their poop is because it eliminates possible tracking. In the wild pups are an easy meal for other predators, so the mother would eat the poop to help cover the tracks of her and her little ones.
