Part 2. Like Tones Approach. how and why? i think the music for sure. again more harder sounds give you more things to play with. and using the jack to translate would lead to a suprisingly more experimental approach when i song has many layers. haha sorry for being a house dance nerd
sha influenced for sure. maybe indirectly maybe directly maybe from youtube =P. i think that newbies should take the idea to the base of its purpose. like this style as terry said "sha style". what and how would this type of movement come to be? i think mos def its music driven by the harder sounds pulling more energy and really using the jack more noticeable in your dance to have a stronger approach
well its sad because in their struggle to be different they ended up copies. I know that sounds mean but its true.
All of the movement that we do whee not made up at a practice. we did it at a party just having fun with each other. when you guys get that part things until then it will remain the same. hey man look I have a party/event at morph tokyo on 11/1 please come through and dance have and fun because that is how this entire thing started with a bunch of people dancing and having fun.
Again, please come to Yoyogi, a small place named ANCE. they're trying to make new ways to dance party. and please think together HOW WE MAKE TOKYO BETTER TO HOUSE PEOPLE. i'll send you a message to invite.
For almost a decade, SYMBOL-ISM has been dancing something different from ordinary Japanese dancers. They're not afraid to accepted as weired by others, and that point is great thing in Japan, i think. It seems ironical, this routine contains so many moves from Jacking. Many of Japanese dancers has never realized their creativity for long time, and they started to use Jacking Move, then people accept them...
Our history of new school dance in Japan is almost eqaul to history of COPYING SOMEONE'S style. yes, you should've known there is so many COPIYNG dancers out there, and they don't want create something new...in Tokyo.
but, I know that SYMBOL-ISM, Takuya & Suthoom is dancing to create something, and I believe they don't want to copy any more. If you doubt it, please come to their regular sessions in Yoyogi and watch how they struggle to make new house movement.
Great routine!!! Stomping when have to :)
