I just want to know where I can find the sinners prayer in the bible. Anybody know? (crickets) I mean really, if you guys are going to say that one belief, is a cult, because they preach baptizem. I PROMISE YOU, NO WHERE IN SCRIPTURE DOES IT SAY, That all you have to do is ask Jesus into your heart to be saved.

@uwique It is according to Jesus himself: Matthew 3:13-17, a set a verses that is almost always completely ignored. In light of those verses, there is no justification for leaving baptism. If God was pleased with Jesus being baptism even though He was already perfect and didn't need it at all, why wouldn't we want to follow the example of the perfect Jesus, the earthly embodiment of God, himself?

@AnahiemerOC the shame is that prayer isnt gonna save us, a lifestyle of obedience will. we are going to sin, and there is repentance and forgiveness available to continuously cleanse us of sin. We cant live in sin and expect to be saved.

you hear, believe what is heard, repent of your sins, confess that Jesus Christ is the son of God, then you are baptised for the remission of sins. that's how its taught , thats what is found in the bible. Church of Christ does not teach remission without repentance.

basic step to be a christian: repent( turn away from your sins), beleive(the gosple or good news about jesus christ), confess, be baptize(immersed) in jesus name, then the holy spirit will dwell in you. and thats just the beinging of your christian life.

many evangalicals, tv ministeries, crusades: push the sinners prayer to extreme. yet when a person reads gods word, the only they are right is this preaching the gosple to the lost: throwing good seeds. and its up to the individual to choose to be baptize for remissions of sins. but it depends what church he goes:lutherans, pentecostal,charasamtics,churc­hsofchrists, or any 35,000 diffrent denominations or non.

i know those types of denominations or non: we dont rely on doctrine of church stateman but what is biblical period. so your telling me jesus lie about his commission?...ill pray for you.
