At 14,411 ft (4,392 m) Mt. Rainier is the highest mountain in Washington state and one of the highest in the western U.S. - Mt. Whitney (California) and Mt. Elbert (Colorado)being 94 and 29 feet higher, respectively. Back in 2000 I climbed Rainier and have a picture of me on the summit:
