Unfortunately our Swedish and less known Nordic composers are very underestimated. All their scores are uniqe and different, hard to play for non-nordic classical musicians. They have a tone set in them making them hear a new tone from their instruments. It throws them off I'm afraid. Also, one have to go out and feel, see and follow our nature here to because that's the core of their hearts. Thank you for liking it though!

So much beautiful music, so little time to hear it all. What a dull world it would be with out music. The Scandinavians have so much to contribute. I thank you.

Whether it be a person from Öland, Norrland or Copenhagen, etcetera; the music is distinguishable and I have no answers for why it is not more popular, but maybe that is just due to a lack of exposure and it should be more so. I know very important people like Berwald were rendered to working as a manager in a glass factory and never knew great financial or popular success while alive. This should not be the case. Just a New Yorker's opinion!

It is very unfortunate they are not more well known and I enjoy their compositions very much. I have been fortunate to have spent time in all Nordic countries and have an appreciation for the culture and can feel it in the music.

@7777Scion it is the 2nd movement, Romance, of his Opus 19. I added the "meadow elves" because of the painting

Bootiful. If you're into this, then check out the first movement of Carl Dittersdorf's Sinfonia No.4 in F major (which is listed under the title: C.D.v. Dittersdorf - Sinfonia No.4 in F major 'The rescue of Andromeda...': I. Adagio non molto). And it's definitely one to listen to in the dead of night (And his requiem is pretty damn good too!). And on a slightly different note.....ahem.....check out Mozart's Symphony No.5 if you've never heard it before, and especially the second movement. Bliss!

@malcolmcolemann Thank you, I will check up on them! It’s funny because I only heard of Dittersdorf yesterday and liked it very much, i was just thinking to find out some more of his music.
